a very poor young musician falls in love with a very rich girl. although hampered by her family, the young man does not give up. to destroy the love of the two succeeds one ex lover of the girl, who throws mud on his past. the musician abandons her and emigrates to america, where he succeeds. the girl becomes seriously ill and the man, who still loves her, returns home to be close to her.
