perchè no ? (1930)

a man of about forty who lives in paris alone, having remained a widower and with two children, has a romantic relationship with a beautiful and pleasant young woman. this relationship is discovered by the man's brother-in-law who finds it deplorable and inconvenient. the interview is heard by the widower's son who informs his sister and they both agree to have the father truncate every relationship with the unknown. they invent an excuse to get to know her, they pull her into the house with the false news of a serious accident and make the couple fight. they succeed in this way, but a common friend intervenes who unites to the two boys how much the young woman has done for them, taking care of their education in the shadows, given that the father, absorbed by work, is not interested in the boys. after this truth they try to get the woman back and convince her father to marry her.
