red corner (1998)

jack moore is a famous lawyer who works as a consultant for a tv network. during a business trip to china, jack spends the night with a woman. the following morning he is brutally awakened by the police: on the bed, beside him, the woman lies without a life covered with blood. arrested and abandoned by his colleagues and the us government, jack clashes with the terrible chinese judicial system, infamous for its summary trials and numerous executions. the lawyer assigned to him, the young shen yuelin, after some hesitation will fight to the end for her innocence.
