Rocambole (1947)

"rocambole": passing off as count armando of chamery whose traces have been lost, giuseppe fippart, known as rocambole, takes possession of the family legacy and asks for the hand of the marquis carmen who actually loves the painter armand. when the artist discovers that he is the true count of chamery, rocambole and his banishment will make him disappear and put the countess baccarat out to try to unmask the brigand. "baccarat's revenge": truth but, after having fought so much against rocambole, he realizes he loves him and makes him escape from prison to ally himself with him in future criminal actions.
