Just One Happy Family (1964)

maurice, samantha's father, is about to arrive and still does not know that his son-in-law is a common mortal. endora warns her daughter that maurice will be furious when he finds out and samantha therefore recommends darrin to spend the night in the city, so as to give her time to prepare her father for the news. darrin at first accepts, but then decides to go home to assert his reasons.
