orphaned at an early age and raised thanks to the care of his uncles, peter is a shy and clumsy student, hopelessly in love with the beautiful mary jane and bound by a deep friendship with harry osborn, the son of a wealthy businessman. bitten by a genetically modified spider, peter acquires superhuman powers and commits himself to using these extraordinary abilities to fight crime. meanwhile, following a wrong scientific experiment, harry's father splits into the mad criminal green goblin.
