the charismatic and reformer prince nasir, heir to the throne in a gulf oil-producing country, has just surrendered the gas exploitation rights to the chinese. this constitutes a bad blow to american economic interests in the region and connex is looking for mergers and new territories to be exploited. meanwhile, cia veteran bob barnes discovers during his last mission that a stinger missile has ended up in the hands of a mysterious egyptian. charged with killing prince nasir, bob will become the scapegoat for secret services.
