The Core (2003)

suddenly some strange and dramatic episodes happen: thirty people with peacemakers die simultaneously in boston; the san francisco golden gate falls apart killing thousands; the pigeons of trafalgar square go crazy. the explanation is given by a geophysical expert: the inner core of the earth globe has stopped rotating and the earth's electromagnetic field is deteriorating. to make things go right, a nuclear device must be blown up at the center of the planet. this is how an expedition of scientists and astronauts with the central destination of the earth begins.
