the good girl (2002)

justine has been working for too long in a squalid supermarket in a small texas town. she has been married to a house painter for a number of years enough to make her, in the eyes of her husband, a reassuring custom such as the tv in front of which the man spends his evenings with colleague bubba and a generous amount of joints. but life seems to offer justine the last hope of a great passion when holden, the very young employee who never separates from his favorite book and who cultivates literary ambitions, arrives in the store.
