the hurricane (1999)

reconstruction of a true story: rubin carter, known as hurricane, a boxer of color in the middleweight world championship, was accused of triple murder on 17 june 1966. he declares himself innocent, but in 1975 he is sentenced to life imprisonment. in 1986 federal judge sarokin reopened the case for the obstinacy of lesra, a young rubin fan. in 1988 carter will finally be released.
