The Machinist (2004)

trevor reznik has not been able to sleep exactly for a year. the lack of rest, apparently inexplicable, is deteriorating him both mentally and physically every day. his appearance has become increasingly spooky, causing work colleagues to avoid him at first and, following an accident that almost kills a colleague, they start doing everything to make him leave. trevor, who feels terribly guilty about the accident, begins to develop a sense of increasingly acute paranoia, convinced that his colleagues want him to go crazy by making him pay for the accident. he begins to find mysterious annotations, almost riddles, in his apartment and later he is told that one of his colleagues, the only one with whom he had by now a minimum of contact, actually never existed.
