camden college, a small new england university attended by young people from good families. sean, paul and lauren are surrounded, in camden, by their dear 'friends': lauren's roommate, lara, whose carnal instincts far exceed the limits of camaraderie: victor, the object of lauren's desire, whose claws he managed to escape temporarily by having been in europe for some time; mitchell about to sink into the abyss of his friend sean's world; the clique of paul's friends, always ready for a rather sharp sarcasm; kelly, one of the many, quick achievements of sean and marc, who mistakenly considers himself much more coherent than he really is.
