the life of terry wolfmeyer, wife and mother, is shaken by the sudden disappearance of her husband. terry finds herself unexpectedly alone, struggling with a new, difficult family situation, in which she has to cope with the difficult personalities of her four daughters. therefore seek consolation in the alcohol and affection of his neighbor, denny. these, a radio dj once a baseball champion, gradually became an important reference point for her and her daughters. things get complicated though, when the girls turn to denny not only to solve their mother's romantic dilemmas but also their own.
