bree is a transsexual woman, elegant, cultured, somewhat traditionalist and, above all, with a strong self-irony. he lives in los angeles among a thousand hardships in order to pay for the definitive surgery for his sexual redefinition. an unexpected phone call from toby, a teenager unruly looking for his father, reports to bree the shocking news that a heterosexual relationship had in his past life as a man generated a child. bree has no intention of knowing him, but will have to give in to the pressures of his psychotherapist, who is not willing to grant her the legal authorization for the intervention until he has confronted the boy and, through him, his past.
