under suspicion (1991)

england, 1959. forced to leave the police for causing the death of a colleague. tony aaron works as a private detective, organizing false adultery scenes with his wife hazel to allow his clients a quiet divorce. one day, however, one of these, a well-known painter, was found murdered together with aaron's wife. suspicions immediately fall back on tony and the painter's beautiful mistress, angeline, who would inherit the vast heritage of the killed. an intense and passionate relationship is born between tony and angeline, which does not prevent each of them from doubting the innocence of their partner.
