accused of alcoholism and therefore responsible for the death of his family, a sheriff is redeemed contributing to the release of a child abducted by some bandits. the perpetrator of the crime turns out to be a bandit who took his place as the guardian of the law. the man kills him and therefore demonstrates his extraneousness to the infamous accusation that had forced him to give up the job of sheriff.
