cuor di vagabondo (1936)

the headmaster of a modest company of acrobats picks up a girl on the street who is about to become a mother: for a misunderstanding and for the sarcars of an ancient lover of the beloved man, she has moved away. after many years during which mother and son have been lovingly assisted by the old manager who has become fond of them as if they were a daughter and grandchild, the wandering company staying near a castle. the old man and the child, to feed themselves, go hunting for potatoes but are caught by a game warden and taken to the presence of the landowner, who is none other than the young man loved by the protected girl, and therefore the child's father. final reconciliation and bitter revival of vagrancy by the old manager.
