casa lontana (1939)

a well-known tenor marries a dancer, but the impresario of him spurs on the two spouses, managing to create a profound disagreement between the two. the woman goes away with an ancient lover, the tenor moves to south america, where the two meet again and are reconciled even if their existence is threatened by a blackmailer who, one night, is confronted by the singer. in the struggle that ensues the evildoer is killed and the tenor, at the end of the process that follows, is acquitted in self-defense.
