enemy at the gates (2001)

besieged stalingrad. last soviet bulwark against the german advance. the morale of the russians is on the ground; i am exhausted, crushed between the nazis and party orders. then they discover a deadly sniper, vassili zaitsev, among their ranks. the soviet command decides to make him a hero to raise the morale of the troops but the nazis are not watching and send one of their shooters to destroy this last hope.
