fortuna (1940)

a hungarian nobleman who works as a socialite editor in a south american newspaper is in love with his director's daughter, who is reluctant at the wedding, but when the rumor spreads that the young journalist inherited from an uncle who lives in europe a lottery ticket and who is the winner of the second prize and therefore millionaire, then consents that the two get engaged. but in reality the news had been spread to art and, once the deception was discovered, the two lovebirds have already taken flight. enraged, the director requires his daughter to return home, but a pleasant novelty awaits him: the deception does not exist because the son-in-law is really the possessor of a winning lottery ticket: even that of the first prize.
