garfield: the movie (2004)

for garfield, the most loved cat in the world, life couldn't be sweeter. parked on a comfortable armchair in front of the television, fed with his favorite dish, lasagna, a champion of insults against his abused master, jon, garfield is the lord of the universe. when jon takes garfield to his beautiful veterinary, liz wilson, the doctor gives jon a hyper-active, wagging and festive creature that represents all that garfield hates, odie, an adorable, stupid dog. odie upsets garfield's peaceful existence as a cyclone. the solution, for garfield, can only be one: chase the beast away. so much so that when the four-legged inept ends up in the clutches of happy chapman, everyone would think that garfield is the happiest cat there is. except that garfield now feels responsible for odie. with an energy that is not his own, a lion's courage and an altruism that no one would imagine belonging to him, garfield manages to shake himself from the torpor of his existence and to take action. his is the most unlikely of the missions: save odie.
