inviati speciali (1943)

during the spanish civil war a group of italian journalists follows the war operations; during a break one of the reporters knows a fascinating foreigner, believed by him to be a colleague, and falls in love with her. when the young man falls into the hands of the militiamen, the woman, who is actually a provocateur of the reds, manages to make him escape. at the end of the conflict the two meet again, but this time it is the italian who obtains the freedom of the woman whom he hopes to be able to take with him to his country. but a sudden departure separates them again. some years later, in marmarica, the journalist finds the injured woman in an armored car; healed, she puts herself at the service of the italians to redeem herself, but a bullet kills her.
