The Miller's Beautiful Wife (1955)

the miller luca, in the campania of 1680 dominated by the spaniards, enjoys many privileges thanks to the beautiful wife carmela, desired by all, including governor. for a brawl luke ends up in jail and don teofilo, the governor, tries to take advantage of the circumstance by going to the mill at carmela, who rejects him. meanwhile, luca, escaped from prison, introduces himself into the court in the room of donna dolores, the governor's wife. in the end everything becomes clear and the two couples will continue to live happily.
