the fanatic head of the thugs indian sect kidnaps a girl to make her the priestess of the goddess kali. at the request of his father, sandokan sets out to help him with his faithful companions and the tiger cubs of mompracem. after various vicissitudes they find it in the temple and in a violent clash with the fanatical followers belonging to the sect, they manage to free it.
